THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED

Pussy, a raunchy comedy, and The Ruby Choker, gothic horror, are a double bill of music-theatre adaptations of stories by Angela Carter, who studied in Bristol and wrote five of her nine novels here during the 1960s.

Pussy‘s première outing in 2017 sold out every night. (“Raucously funny and packed with suitably Carteresque innuendos… a fabulous job”, wrote a reviewer.)

Composer Christopher Northam and librettist A.C.H.Smith have enlarged it musically for the Bristol Improv Theatre run, and created a double bill by adapting the title story in Carter’s collection The Bloody Chamber as The Ruby Choker. The stage director is John Telfer.

Ticket prices All seats £15.

Suitable for age 14+ or resilient younger viewers.
